Strawberry Mint Water

As summer comes to a close, enjoy a glass of strawberry mint water with dinner or just as a refreshing afternoon beverage. It's also a great way to hydrate without any added sugar or chemicals if you don't really like plain water.
Strawberry Mint Water
about 12 strawberries
1 lemon
4 sprigs of fresh peppermint
200-250 ml (64-80 oz) water
Wash lemon and strawberries and cut the stems off the strawberries
Cut strawberries in a star shape without going all the way through (as shown in picture below)
Pour about 2 inches worth of cold water in pitcher (it should hold 200ml/64oz-250ml/80 total)
Zest lemon into the water
Add strawberries and squeeze in the juice of one lemon
Rinse peppermint sprigs with warm water to bring out the oils and then add to pitcher
Fill the rest of the pitcher with cold water and gently shake, holding the lid firmly on
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours but no more than 24
