Actually Healthy Granola
This granola has no added sugar, but plenty of added flavor! Sweetened with banana, dates and apples, you won't even miss the refined sugar. Then add in the vitamin E, good fats and protein from the nuts and seeds and you're off to a great start to your morning! Eat it with yogurt (just look out for added sugar) or milk and some fresh fruit for a deliciously balanced breakfast.

Granola
1/2 cup coconut oil
3 cups dates
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt
6 cups rolled oats
2 cups crushed/sliced nuts
1 cup sunflower seeds
2 Tbsp chia seeds
2 Tbsp Ground flaxseed
2 apples
1 banana (slightly brown)
Melt the coconut oil in a large pot on a low heat
Stir in salt, vanilla and cinnamon
Finely chop dates (or use a food processor)
Add dates to melted coconut oil and turn off the heat
Chop apples into small pieces
Add oats, nuts, seeds, and apple pieces to the pot of coconut oil
Mix together with clean hands, breaking up the pieces of date that get clumped together
Grate in 1 banana and continue to mix until everything is evenly distributed
Put parchment paper down on two baking sheets and pour the granola from the pot, making an even layer on the baking sheets
Bake at 325° F for 15-20 minutes or until it starts to look slightly golden
