Forgot to make overnight oats? Didn’t have time to make granola? This breakfast takes no time and fills you with the good stuff. Make a large batch for the week or just a single serving for today. For more protein, add more nuts; for more sweetness, add more fruit. I cut my banana into tiny pieces so it gets distributed to every bite for plenty of sweetness. The raisins and shredded coconut add even more sweetness so that I wouldn’t even think to need honey or sugar on it. And to make it even better, you’ll never have to worry about soggy cereal again—the longer it sits, the softer the oats get and the more the flavors meld together.
Real Oat Cereal
Oats (between ¼ and ½ cup whole rolled)
Shredded/desiccated coconut (unsweetened)
Fresh/dried fruit (raisins, ½ banana, seasonal berries)
Milk (dairy, almond, coconut—whatever kind you have)
Pour it all in a bowl
